Ciro Blandino

Born in Guardia Sanframondi (BN), married with two daughters. He graduated in Law at the University of Bologna, attended post-graduate courses in various legal matters, qualified for the practice of the profession of lawyer.

In 1987 he was hired by the Ministry of Justice and assigned to the prison of Forlì.

In 1989 he won the public competition at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (now Ministry of Economic Development), where he held various offices, lastly at the Cabinet of the Minister.

He was hired by ISVAP in 1999 and was assigned to the Office for the Coordination of Legal Issues, where he dealt with sanctioning activities. Since 2003 he has worked for the Sanction Directorate and since 2008 he has been delegated functions relating to the auditing and control of sanctioning proceedings.

He is member of the collegial bodies competent for sanctions set up at IVASS. He was registered in the Register of lawyers of Rome – special list for ISVAP until 9 February 2009.

He is the coordinator of IVASS Interdepartmental Working Group which has collaborated with the MISE in the review of the new sanctioning system for the insurance sector, which became effective in 2018, and of IVASS working group for the drafting of the new regulation on sanctions, in force since 2018.

As from 1 January 2020 he is the Head of the Sanction Division.
