Saverio Freda

Born in Rome on 2 August 1967, in 1992 he graduated in Economics and Business from La Sapienza University of Rome and in 1993 he specialised in banking disciplines at the same University.

In 1995 he was hired by ISVAP and assigned to the Personal Insurance Department, where he carried out for several years on-site and off-site supervisory activities, dealing with the main activities related to the supervisory functions of the Institute.

From 2003 to 2011 he worked in the Inspection Directorate, taking part in numerous on-site inspections of insurance companies and intermediaries; in January 2012 he was assigned to the Supervisory Directorate II, where he coordinated the supervision of a major insurance group.

In June 2013, with the birth of IVASS, he moved to the Resource Management Directorate, within which, in February 2015, he assumed the role of Head of the Organisational and Management Planning Division.
