Lucilla Caterini Grossi

Born in Rome on 4 February 1972.
After graduating in Economics and Business, focusing on financial intermediaries at Luiss-Guido Carli University (1995), she earned a master's degree in risk management of insurance undertakings at La Sapienza University (2006).
From 1995 to 1999 she worked in the planning and control division of an insurance undertaking.
Hired by ISVAP in 1999, for some years she carried out off-site supervisory activities in particular in the financial area and for insurance groups. Since 2004 she dealt with regulations and international issues, in particular as regards the works for the development of the Solvency II project and financial conglomerates; in 2012 she was appointed head of the organizational unit responsible for the Institute’s International Relations. From June 2013 she was the head of the Supervisory Regulations Division within IVASS’ Supervisory Regulations and Policies Directorate, and followed the review of IVASS’ secondary regulations in different fields, conducting in particular the activities relating to the preparation of the entry into force of Solvency II; for about two years from February 2015 she was Deputy Head of the above Directorate.
Since May 2017 she has been working in the Consumer Protection Directorate, dealing with the market conduct of insurance undertakings operating in Italy, focusing on issues that emerge from the analysis of the root causes of complaints against undertakings submitted to the Institute or from the reports of Consumer Associations.
Since January 2020 she has been Deputy Head of the Market Conduct Supervision Directorate.
Speaker at seminars and author of a publication on insurance topics.
