Guido Lozzi

Born in Rome on 11 August 1968, he graduated in Economics and Business from La Sapienza University of Rome, specialising in Banking and Securities Market Policy and Legislation.

Since 1998 he is registered in the Register of Auditors.

After six years of work at the Ministry of the Treasury - General State Accounting Office - in 1999 he was hired by ISVAP and assigned to the Prudential Supervision Department, where he had the opportunity to gain extensive experience in off-site and on-site supervision of undertakings, insurance groups and financial conglomerates.

Over the years he was charged with coordinating supervision activities over the major cross-border insurance groups, also through continuous cooperation with the other foreign insurance and banking Supervisory Authorities involved, within the College of Supervisors.

He participated, also as coordinator, in various working groups in charge of drafting the regulations issued by the Institute on, inter alia, investments and insurance-financial products and favouring the transition to Solvency II.

Since the entry into force of Legislative Decree 142/2005, he has coordinated, jointly with the offices of the ECB, the Bank of Italy and Consob, the annual identification process of financial conglomerates.

For some years he was a lecturer in Economics and Insurance Techniques and is author of numerous studies and publications in the field of insurance.

Since 21 February 2022 he has been Deputy Head of Insurance Groups Division II.
