President

The President of IVASS is the Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy, due to the institutional link between IVASS' members of the governing bodies of and the Bank of Italy.

The President has the legal representation of the Institute before third parties in all acts and contracts and in legal proceedings, promotes and coordinates the Board of Directors' activities and chairs its meetings.

The President informs the Joint Directorate on the most important facts regarding IVASS' administration.

The senior Board member in terms of appointment, and, if this is the same, of age, supports the President within the framework of his powers and substitutes for him in the event of his absence or inability to act.
