New procedure for collecting data pursuant to IVASS Regulations 44/2019 and 50/2022

Starting this year, IVASS will adopt a new procedure for the collection of information due from companies, both Italian and foreign, by 30 June 2023 under IVASS Regulations No. 44 of 12 February 2019 and No. 50 of 3 May 2022 for the purpose of AML, and of information on non-life premiums collected through insurance intermediaries or without any mediation.

The new procedure, which was announced in a Letter to the Market dated 29 November 2022, is based on the Infostat platform and will replace the system currently in use.

To operate in the new mode, companies, both Italian and foreign, that are not already registered will have to do so by accrediting themselves on the Infostat platform according to the instructions at the following link: https://www.ivass.it/operatori/imprese/raccolta-dati/infostat/Registration_to_the_INFOSTAT_platform.docx?language_id=3&force_download=1

For companies that are not already accredited for other surveys, the accreditation process must be completed by March 2023.

Reporting is required for companies that collected non-life or life premiums in Italy in the year 2022.
