I Navigati: The 2026 - 2027 cyber security awareness campaign is back
The 'Navigati' campaign is back to promote a safer and more informed use of digital tools and to help individuals, families and businesses protect themselves against cyber threats. The initiative aims to improve awareness of the risks of online fraud, also in light of the growing use of artificial intelligence for fraudulent purposes.
Information materials will be shared on the digital channels of the participating institutions and banks and will also be available on the official 'I Navigati' website, providing practical guidance on how to recognize cyber risks and adopt appropriate measures to prevent them.
The campaign is promoted by CERTFin (the Computer Emergency Response Team for the Italian financial sector, chaired by Banca d'Italia and the Italian Banking Association (ABI), and managed by ABI Lab), together with Banca d'Italia, the Italian Insurance Supervisory Authority (IVASS), ABI, the Italian State Police, Banca Agricola Popolare di Sicilia, Banca Mediolanum, Banca Sella, Banco BPM, BNL BNP Paribas, BPER, Credem, Crédit Agricole Italia, Fineco, Gruppo BCC Iccrea, Gruppo Cassa Centrale, Intesa Sanpaolo, La Cassa di Ravenna and UniCredit. It also has the support of the Italian Data Protection Authority, the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCom), with the collaboration of international technology companies.
At local level, the participating banks will host 'ConsapevolMente insieme' Cybersecurity Open Days at their branches to increase public engagement with and awareness of the importance of prevention in combating fraud. These issues are at the heart of the collaboration between CERTFin, ABI and the banks and were also addressed at the 'Salone della Sicurezza - WeSec', an industry event that brought together several authorities and institutions, as well as representatives from the public and private sectors that are working on different aspects of security.
