Description

CAA published extracts of the court decision of 31 January 2025, by which the Luxembourg District Court declared FWU Life Insurance Lux S.A. in liquidation. The extracts are available in Italian.

Liquidation does not entail the total loss of savings for policyholders (or, if applicable, their beneficiaries).

Within six months of the judgment, the liquidator will send a pre-filled statement of claim to all policyholders (or, if applicable, their beneficiaries), providing all practical details.

Policyholders must send the liquidator a statement of claim by 31 January 2028 latest, although this does not rule out the possibility of the first reimbursements taking place before this date.

The countervalue of the representative assets will be allocated in a privileged way to the repayment of policyholders' savings, in an equitable manner.
