Stefano Pallante

Born in Rome on 22 August 1967, he graduated with honours in Economics and Business, specialising in business management, in July 1991 from the Free University of Social Studies (LUISS) in Rome. He is married with two children.

Immediately after graduating, he entered the world of business consulting, working for more than 3 years at ACCENTURE s.p.a. where he participated, with increasing responsibility, in numerous projects in the Central Government, Financial & Insurance Services and Telecommunications areas.

In January 1995, after winning a public competition, he joined ISVAP, where he carried out on-site and off-site supervision on insurance companies operating in the "non-life" sector and, since 2003, he was assigned to the Inspection Directorate, where he devoted himself exclusively to on-site inspections at insurance companies' premises.

In September 2005, he was appointed as a member of the Technical Staff of the Deputy Director General, and in this capacity he assisted and supported the Deputy Director General in the coordination of all the special projects and strategic activities of the Institute, with particular regard to the related tender procedures, in which he held numerous positions as Single Project Manager (RUP) and member of Selection Boards.

In February 2011, he was assigned to lead the newly established Tenders and Contracts Unit within ISVAP's Accounting and Administration Division.

The skills he has acquired over the years in the field of public procurement, combined with his expertise in insurance matters, have been the basis for his numerous participations as a "technical member" in Tender Commissions for the award of contracts for insurance services at the Italian Antitrust Authority (AGCM) and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as for his appointment as Technical Consultant (CTU) by the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office.

He has held numerous positions both as Vice President of the Examination Commission relating to the qualifying examination for registration in the register of motor liability loss adjusters, and as a member of the commission for the recruitment of personnel by IVASS, as well as coordinator of working groups on organisational, administrative, accounting and regulatory issues.

From 2013 to 2022 he was Head of the Tenders and Contracts Sector of IVASS.

As from 1 September 2022 he is the Head of the Accounting and Budget Division.
