Financial Stability

IVASS is responsible for overseeing the stability of the financial system and markets, and in particular systemically relevant risks and the ability of the insurance market to cope with them.

The Institute carries out its macroprudential mandate in close collaboration with other institutions, national and international, charged with overseeing financial stability.

IVASS's assessments of systemic risks in the insurance sector feed into the semi-annual Financial Stability Report published by the Bank of Italy.

The section includes the Bank of Italy's Financial Stability Reports, quarterly update notes of the Risk Dashboard prepared by Ivass, as well as information on the annual Panel with consulting firms and rating agencies.

IVASS participates in the Committee for Macroprudential Policies.
