Marina Carnevale

Born in Rome on 10 November 1962, three children. In 1986 she graduated with honours in Law at "La Sapienza" University of Rome.

She became an expert in criminal procedure at the same University.

After completing her forensic training, she joined ISVAP in 1989 and was assigned to the Complaints Section.

From 1990 to 1999, she worked for the Research Department, in the Legal Service, dealing with legal issues and preparing defences for the State Attorney's Office.

Since 1999, when the Minister of Industry transferred ISVAP the functions of keeping the Register of Agents, Brokers and the List of Experts, she was transferred to the National Registers Division with the task of preparing disciplinary proceedings against Intermediaries and Experts.

From 2006, she was Head of one of the two Offices that managed the Single Register of Insurance and Reinsurance Intermediaries, with particular regard to Brokers, Banks, Direct Canvassers and Intermediaries of the European Economic Area.

From March 2017, she was Head of the RUI Management Division. In this capacity, she promoted the full computerisation of the Register of Intermediaries, achieving results in terms of efficiency of processes and speed of examination of the requests from intermediaries, which are particularly appreciated by the market. Coordinator of the working group for the implementation of the new management software for the Register of Intermediaries. She participated in the works for the drafting of Ivass Regulation No. 40/2018.

In 2018 she passed the selection for the post of Director.

As from 2 January 2020, she is the head of the Insurance Arbitrator Secretariat Division 1.
