Winding-up

Here you can find data on the winding up procedures of undertakings subject to IVASS supervision and foreign undertakings pursuing business in Italy placed into winding up.

In the side menu you can find information on these undertakings. The lists are in alphabetical order and it is possible to use the search engine for searches by category:

• Domestic undertakings authorised to the pursuit of insurance business (and companies belonging to the relevant groups) placed under administrative compulsory winding up on the grounds of their financial distress or a breach of the law or serious irregularities in their activity
• Non insurance companies of the Previdenza S.p.A. group - trust and auditing firm, placed into administrative compulsory winding up pursuant to art. 72 of the Consolidated Law on Insurance. Afterwards, pursuant to Decree Law n. 233 of 5 June 1986, converted with amendments into Law n. 430 of 1 August 1986, the companies directly or indirectly controlled by the parent company were placed into administrative compulsory winding up.
• One section is dedicated to the property for sale of undertakings in compulsory winding up.
• Undertakings which placed themselves into voluntary winding up, appointing one or more liquidators.
• Foreign undertakings licensed to pursue insurance business in Italy by way of establishment and/or of free provision of services placed into winding up by their respective Supervisory Authority.
