The insurance market operators supervised by IVASS are:

• undertakings carrying on insurance or reinsurance business in Italy, pension plans and entities which, on their behalf, manage processes and functions relating to the insurance and reinsurance cycle (e.g., claims management companies);
• insurance groups and financial conglomerates which include insurance and reinsurance undertakings;
• insurance and reinsurance intermediaries.
